Fairfield SEPTA benefactor of the 2009 Christmas Tree Festival Quilt Rafflefrom:Fairfield Special Education PTA (SEPTA) category:Clubs and Organizations posted:November 2nd, 2009 Fairfield SEPTA, Inc. is the beneficiary of the 2009 Fairfield Christmas Tree Festival raffle! The Fairfield Christmas Tree Festival, Inc. is an independent, non-profit group of volunteers whose purpose is to raise funds for local community projects. 100% of the net proceeds from the annual fundraising event go to designated charitable agencies. For 28 years, Cecily Zerega, a longtime Fairfield Christmas Tree Festival Board Member, has designed and created beautiful quilts for the annual Quilt Raffle. This year's quilt, which measures 42" x 38", was pierced then hand-quilted. This lovely decorative piece will surely become a treasured family heirloom. In addition to this fabulous quilt, the raffle gift basket (valued at $672) includes:
One prize is to be awarded. The drawing will be held on December 6, 2009 at 3pm. It will be held at the Burr Homestead, 739 Old Post Road, Fairfield, CT. Winner need not be present to win. The cost of a raffle ticket is $5.00. Tickets will be sold at SEPTA's 11/18 meeting @ McKinley School and on the day of Santa's arrival at the Sherman Green. (Sat. 11/28.)
