Fairfield Green Coast Award Winners Announced

Fairfield, CT--Fairfield recognizes and celebrates six, Town of Fairfield Green Coast Award winners at Town of Fairfield Green Drinks, Tuesday, November 3rd, from 6-8 p.m. at Beach Café.

The Green Coast Awards honor and recognize businesses, services, organizations and individuals throughout Fairfield County that are socially and environmentally responsible, promote sustainability, have high ethical standards and make conscious decisions everyday to improve our communities and the health of our planet.

Larry Kaley, Fairfield resident, has won the Green Coast Award for Leader in Environmental Commitment. Other winners include, Health in a Hurry, MowGreen.US, Asputuck Land Trust, River-Lab and Bigelow Tea.

This is the second year for the Fairfield County Green Coast Awards. In addition to Town of Fairfield GreenDrinks, winners have also been recognized at the Green Market Exposition in Bridgeport, October 21st at the Barnum Museum. A special Green Coast Awards reception for all winners from throughout Fairfield County is scheduled for November 19th at the upcoming Green Faire at Stamford GreenDrinks, which is sponsored by Community Innovations Grants Program and the CT Clean Energy

Fund and being held at the Stamford Marriott from 5:30-8:30 p.m.

The complete list of 2009 winners will be posted online by December 1, 2009. Voting for the 2010 Green Coast Awards begins January 1st and runs through October 15th. For more information about the awards, please visit www.greencoastawards.com.
